TWO men have been charged
with the murder of Alan Greaves, an organist and Reader, who died
after being attacked in Sheffield on Christmas Eve (
News, 4 January).
South Yorkshire Police charged Ashley Foster, 21, from High
Green, Sheffield and Jonathan Bowling, 22, on Thursday evening.
They were remanded in custody after appearing at Sheffield
Magistrates Court, this morning.
The police appeal included the release of CCTV footage of two
men near the scene, shortly before Mr Greaves's murder, and the
offer of a £10,000 reward.
