World record

20 June 2014

A WORLD record has just been broken in the Church of England marquee at the Suffolk show held in the diocese of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich. Daniel Magness, a celebrity freestyle footballer, qualified for a Guinness World Record by managing 555 consecutive touches of the ball with his shoulders.

He last broke his own record -also a world first - in July 2011, when he secured 402 touches. "Dan showed incredible skill and poise, and the audience were hanging on every shoulder-move," the Bishop of Huntingdon, Dr David Thomson, said. "Dan is a Christian, a footballer, and appears on the Sky show," Gavin Stone, the assistant diocesan secretary said.

Nobody says whether the audience's shoulders ached in sympathy.
