Fighting the Ideological War

08 August 2014

THE essays in Fighting the Ideological War: Winning strategies from Communism to Islamism argue that the United States will never defeat extreme Muslim groups by responding to them only with violence. Instead, the authors argue, governments need to start with a much greater understanding of the ideologies that they oppose, and analyse how past conflicts have been resolved - for example, with Communism or Fascism - in order to find other ways of dealing with Islamism. The editors of the book are Katharine Gorka and Patrick Sookhdeo (Isaac Publishing, £9.99 (£8.99); 978-0-9853109-0-5).
