New archdeacon
THE next Archdeacon of Lincoln, in that diocese, is to be the Revd Gavin Kirk, Canon Precentor of Lincoln Cathedral since 2003. Before his present appointment, he was a Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral from 1998 to 2003, and had served in the dioceses of Rochester and Chichester.
Acting archdeacons
THE Bishop of Croydon, in Southwark diocese, the Revd Jonathan Clark, is to be also Acting Archdeacon of Reigate.
The Archdeacon of Maidstone, in Canterbury diocese, the Ven. Stephen Taylor, and the Archdeacon of Ashford, in the same diocese, the Ven. Philip Down, are to be also Joint Acting Archdeacons of Canterbury. They have both been in post since 2011.
Lee Abbey
THE next Warden of Lee Abbey is to be the Revd Simon Holland, Rector of Bath Walcot, and Assistant Rural Dean of Bath, in Bath & Wells diocese, since 2015. He had been Priest-in-Charge of Bath Walcot since 2007, and had served as Chaplain of Lee Abbey from 1995 to 1999.
