Settlers’ record straight

From Canon David Winter

Sir, — The first rule of journalism is "Get the facts right." Sadly, I failed in several respects in my Diary last week. My long-term friend the Revd Cindy Kent is Priest-in-Charge of St John’s, Whetstone, not St James’s. The gentleman celebrating his 100th birthday (whom I last met more than 50 years ago) was Morris Sills, not Malcolm. And — as I perfectly well know, having worked with them for years — there were four members of the Settlers, not five. I do apologise.
