Archdeacons retire
THE Ven. David Bailey, Archdeacon of Bolton, in Manchester diocese, since 2008, is to retire at the end of the year. Before his current appointment, he was Vicar of Beverley Minster and Priest-in-Charge of Routh from 1997-2008, and a Prebendary of York Minister from 1998-2008, and before that held posts in York, London, and Southwell & Nottingham dioceses.
The Ven. David Butterfield, Archdeacon for Generous Giving and Stewardship, and Canon Residentiary of York Minster, in York diocese, since 2014, retired on 1 July, becoming Archdeacon Emeritus. He was Archdeacon of the East Riding, and Prebendary of York Minster, from 2007 to 2014, and before that held posts in Lichfield diocese.
