Archdeacons retire

THE Ven. David Bailey, Arch­deacon of Bolton, in Manches­ter diocese, since 2008, is to retire at the end of the year. Before his current appoint­ment, he was Vicar of Beverley Minster and Priest-in-Charge of Routh from 1997-2008, and a Prebendary of York Minister from 1998-2008, and before that held posts in York, Lon­don, and Southwell & Notting­ham dioceses.

The Ven. David Butterfield, Archdeacon for Generous Giving and Stewardship, and Canon Residentiary of York Minster, in York diocese, since 2014, retired on 1 July, be­­coming Archdeacon Emeritus. He was Archdeacon of the East Riding, and Prebendary of York Minster, from 2007 to 2014, and before that held posts in Lichfield diocese.
