Resignations and retirements

Archdeacon retires

THE Ven. Paul Hughes, Archdeacon of Bedford, in St Albans diocese, since 2003, will retire on 31 December. He was ordained in 1982 and has served all his ministry in the diocese. Before his current appointment, he was Vicar of Boxmoor, and Rural Dean of Hemel Hempstead. He was also a member of the diocesan roperty committee, using his experience as a residential property surveyor before his ordination.

He retires in the diocese, and his wife, Canon Liz Hughes, continues her post as Senior Chaplain of Luton Airport. A farewell service will take place at St Paul’s, Bedford, on 12 January.

COLEMAN. The Revd Julie Coleman, Priest-in-Charge of the Romney Marsh Benefice (Canterbury): 13 November.

COPSEY. The Revd Christine Copsey, Chaplain of the Matthew Project, remaining Chaplain and Development Worker at Good Work (Norfolk and Waveney Industrial Mission), Chap­lain of Nor­wich Coroner’s Court, Diocesan Social and En­­viron­mental Concerns Co-ordinator, and Hon. Canon of Norwich Cathedral (Norwich).

COULTHARD. The Revd Nina Coulthard, Vicar of St Michael and All Angels, Loughton (Chelmsford): 31 October.

DALLISTON. The Revd Michelle Dalliston, Team Rector in the Christ the King Team Ministry, Newcastle (Newcastle): 30 September.

DONALD. The Revd Rosemary Donald, Priest-in-Charge of Blendworth with Chalton with Idsworth (Portsmouth): 28 October.

DONE. The Revd Nigel Done, Vicar of Ilminster and Whitelackington, and Rural Dean of Ilminster: 30 September (Bath & Wells).

FULFORD. The Revd Alison Fulford, Dean of Women in Ministry: 30 September, remaining Priest-in-Charge of Baddiley and Wrenbury with Burleydam (Bath & Wells).

HILL. The Revd Dr Gillian Hill, Vicar of Catherington and Clanfield and Hon. Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral (Portsmouth): 31 October.

MARKS. The Revd Wesley Marks, Vicar of Ribby cum Wrea and Weeton St Michael (Blackburn): 13 October.

NIEMIEC. The Revd Paul Niemiec, Team Vicar in the Heacham and Snettisham Team Ministry, and Rural Dean of Heacham and Rising (Norwich): 11 November.

NORTHALL. The Revd Sarah Northall, Priest-in-Charge of Pedmore and of Wollescote (Worcester).

O’SULLIVAN. The Revd Barbara O’Sullivan, NSM of St Mary with St Faith and St Barnabas and St Wilfrid, Portsea (Portsmouth).

SIVYER. The Revd Dr Steven Sivyer, Assistant Curate of Boughton Monchelsea (Canterbury): 3 November.
