Wednesday 9pm (BBC2) Horizon: Stopping Male Suicide Dr Xand van Tulleken looks at why it is that so many men take their own lives.

Thursday (C4) Grayson Perry: Rites of Passage The first episode of a new series looks at life’s great rituals marking birth, coming of age, marriage, and death (1/4).

 

RADIO: Friday 1.30pm (World Service) Heart and Soul David McGuire talks to the Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammed, an African-American Muslim in the US.

Sunday 8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship A service from Greenbank Parish Church, Edinburgh, to mark the city’s festival.

3pm (R3) Choral Evensong A repeat of last week’s service from St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh, during the Edinburgh Festival.

Monday 1pm (R3) Proms Chamber 2018 A live recital of English choral music, featuring the composer Hubert Parry in his centenary year.

4.30pm (R4 FM) Beyond Belief Ernie Rae returns with a new series that examines faith in the modern world (1/5).

Wednesday 3.30pm (R3) Choral Evensong Live from Edington Priory, in Wiltshire, during the 2018 Festival of Music within the Liturgy.
