2018 Church Architecture Awards shortlist announced

St Comghan’s Chapel, Kilchoan, in Scotland (top); St Mary Magdalene’s, Paddington, in London; and St Michael and All Angels, Summertown, in Oxford (see gallery), are among the 12 churches to have been shortlisted for the 2018 Church Architecture Awards, funded by the National Churches Trust.

There are two main award categories, each with six shortlisted entries: the 2018 Presidents’ Award for new buildings, reordering, and extensions; and the King of Prussia Gold Medal for church repair and conservation architecture. The winning entries will be announced at an award ceremony at St Mellitus College, in London, on 1 November
