Europe dean

THE next Dean of Holy Trinity Cathedral, Gibraltar, in Europe diocese, is to be the Revd Ian Tarrant, Rector of St Mary with St Philip and St James, Woodford, in Chelmsford diocese, since 2009, and an Hon. Canon of Boga, in the Church of the Province of Congo, since 1997. Canon Tarrant trained at St John’s College, Nottingham, was ordained priest in 1985, served his title in London diocese, before working for CMS in Zaïre (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) from 1988 to 1998. He was Senior Chaplain at Nottingham University until 2009.

 

Suffolk archdeacon

THE next Archdeacon of Suffolk, in St Edmundsbury & Ipswich diocese, is to be the Revd Jeanette Gosney, Bishop’s Ministry Officer since 2017, NSM (Associate Priest) of St Mary le Tower, Ipswich, and Diocesan Adviser for Women’s Ministry since 2018. She trained at St John’s College, Nottingham, was ordained priest in 1996, and served her title in St Edmundsbury & Ipswich diocese, before serving in Leicester and St Albans dioceses. She will be installed on 2 February 2020.

 

AUBREY-JONES. The Revd Adrian Aubrey-Jones, formerly Team Vicar in the Dereham and District Team Ministry, and Rural Dean of Dereham in Mitford, to be Hon. Assistant Curate (Assistant Priest) of Dersingham, Anmer, Ingoldisthorpe and Shernborne (Norwich).

BARROW. The Revd Evelyne Barrow, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Curate) in the Upper Holme Valley Team Ministry, to be NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of High Hoyland, Scissett and Clayton West, and of Skelmanthorpe (Leeds).

BRIDGE. The Revd John Bridge, Priest-in-Charge of Wylde Green, to be Vicar of Rowley Regis (Birmingham).

CARTWRIGHT. The Revd Lydia Cartwright, Assistant Curate of Stapleford, to be Team Rector in the Clifton Team Ministry (Southwell & Nottingham).

CONWAY. The Rt Revd Stephen Conway, Bishop of Ely (Ely), to be also Vice-Chairman of the Ecclesiastical Law Society.

CURRIE. The Revd Katherine Currie, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of High Hoyland, Scissett and Clayton West, to be also NS Priest-in-Charge of Skelmanthorpe (Leeds).

DEAVES. The Revd Peter Deaves, Assistant Curate of Rudgwick (Chichester), to be Rector of Sissinghurst with Frittenden (Canterbury).

HEATHFIELD. The Revd Rachel Heathfield, Assistant Curate of the Quinton (Birmingham), to be Interim Priest-in-Charge.

HUNTLEY. The Revd Heidi Huntley, Vicar of Royston, now also Assistant Rural Dean of Buntingford (St Albans).

LOFTUS. The Revd John Loftus, NS Assistant Curate (Assistant Priest) of the Hundred River and Winford Benefice, to be house-for-duty Priest of Wrentham, Covenhithe with Benacre, Henstead with Hulver and Frostenden (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich).

PENN. The Revd Jane Penn, Priest-in-Charge of Worlingham with Barnby and North Cove (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich), now Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) in the Dunkeswell Mission Community, with responsibility for Broadhembury and Plymtree (Exeter).

PULKO. The Revd Dr Susan Pulko, Priest-in-Charge of Hedon, Paull, Sproatley and Preston in Holderness (York), to be Rector.

SMITH. The Revd David Smith, Priest-in-Charge of East Harling with West Harling, Bridgham with Roudham, Larling, Breteenham and Rushford, to be Priest-in-Charge of the Raveningham Group (Aldeby, Burgh St Peter, Haddiscoe, Norton Subcourse, Thorpe-Next-Haddiscoe, Thurlton, Toft Monks, and Wheatacre) and of the Waveney Group (Gillingham with Geldeston with Stockton with Ellingham St Mary and Kirby Cane) (Norwich).

WILLIAMS. The Revd Rachel Williams, NS Assistant Curate of Bolsover (Derby), to be NS Associate Priest.

 

WALES

EVANS. The Revd Kathryn Evans, Vicar of Oldbury, Langley and Londonderry (Birmingham), to be Priest-in-Charge in the Estuary and Mountain Mission Area (St Asaph) (diocesan correction).
