Resignations and retirements

London archdeacons

TWO archdeacons in London diocese are to retire this year.

The Ven. Stephan Welch has served in London diocese since 2000, as parish priest, area dean, and as Archdeacon of Middlesex since 2006. He has also chaired the London Diocesan Board for Schools, and was a Trustee of the Southwark and London Diocesan Housing Association.

The Archdeacon of Northolt since 2013, the Ven. Duncan Green, served in Chichester and Chelmsford dioceses before moving to London. He represented the Church in the lead-up to the Olympic Games in London in 2012, as a faith adviser, and then became head of multifaith chaplaincy services, for all athletes, officials, staff, volunteers, and journalists.

BOULTER. The Revd Adam Boutler, Priest-in-Charge of Christ the Good Shepherd, Poitou-Charentes, France: 31 August.

BURNETT. The Revd Caroline Burnett, Priest-in-Charge of Compton, Shackleford and Peper Harow (Guildford): 30 September.

COLLEY. The Revd Jane Colley, Priest-in-Charge of All Saints and St Paul with St Peter, Crewe (Chester): 31 July.

COUSINS. The Revd Deborah Cousins, Team Vicar in the Aylsham and District Team Ministry (Norwich): 31 August.

COX. The Revd Dr Simon Cox, Area Dean of Blackpool: 15 July, remaining Rector of Bispham, Priest-in-Charge of Copp and Inskip, Assistant Archdeacon of Lancaster, and Hon. Canon of Blackburn Cathedral (Blackburn).

DAVEY. The Revd Andrew Davey, Rector of Clenchwarton and West Lynn (Ely): 30 September.

GREEN. The Revd Robert Green, Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of Norbury (Chester): 30 September.

LAU. The Revd Paul Lau, Chaplain to the Chinese Congregation of St Martin-in-the-Fields, London (London).

LAWRENCE. The Revd James Lawrence, Assistant Curate of Otley (Leeds): 30 June.

SCHOFIELD. The Revd Victoria Schofield, Vicar of St Michael and All Angels, Runcorn (Chester): 31 August.

SHEPHERD. The Revd Thomas Shepherd, Vicar of Sandbach (Chester): 31 October.

WEST. The Revd Richard West, NSM of Whaley Bridge (Chester): 31 August.
