COOMBS. — On 22 September, the Ven. Peter Bertram Coombs: Rector of St Nicholas’s, Nottingham (1963-68); Vicar of New Malden with Coombe (1968-75); Rural Dean of Kingston (1971-75); Archdeacon of Wandsworth (1975-88); Archdeacon of Reigate (1988-95); aged 91.

CROSS. — On 2 September, the Revd Alan Cross SSC: Assistant Curate of St James with All Saints, St Nicholas and St Runwald, Colchester (1973-77); Vicar of St James’s, Leigh (1977-89); St Barnabas’s, Woodford (1989-2009); Hon. Canon of Chelmsford Cathedral (1997-2009); aged 76.

GREEN. — On 21 August, the Revd Margaret Green: Deaconess of Ecclesall Bierlow (1984-87); Parish Deacon (1987-90); Assistant Curate of St James’s, Doncaster (1990-94); aged 85.

LEWIS. — On 19 September, the Rt Revd John Hubert Richard Lewis: Newcastle Diocesan Industrial Chaplain (1970-77); Durham Diocesan Communications Officer (1977-82); Hereford Diocesan Chaplain for Agriculture (1982-87); Archdeacon of Ludlow (1987-92); Suffragan Bishop of Taunton (1992-97); Bishop of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich (1997-2007); aged 77.

LIGHTFOOT. — On 23 September: the Very Revd Vernon Keith Lightfoot: Vicar of St Anne’s, Stanley, Liverpool (1965-75); Chaplain of St Edmund’s College, Liverpool (1966-68); Chaplain of Rathbone Hospital, Liverpool (1970-75); Vicar of St Luke’s, Mount Albert, Auckland, New Zealand (1975-85); Dean of Waikato (1985-97); aged 86.

LLOYD. — On 15 September, the Revd Graham Lloyd: NSM of Lydbury North with Hopesay and Edgton (1997-2001); aged 84.
