The proprietors of Crockford’s Clerical Directory (the Archbishops’ Council) very much regret the erroneous inclusion in their 2020-2021 edition of the Venerable Peter Elliott’s name in the list of clergy who had died since the previous edition, and they would like to apologize for any distress or inconvenience caused to him, or to his family or friends.

Archdeacon Elliott has not died, and his biographical entry should have been included, and should have read as follows:
