Archdeacon retires

THE Ven. Gordon Steele, Arch­deacon of Oakham, in Peter­­borough diocese, since 2012, and Hon. Canon of Peterborough Ca­­the­­dral since 2004, is to retire on 30 November. Archdeacon Steele was ordained priest in 1985 and served in London diocese before moving to Peterborough in 1994, where he was was Vicar of St John’s, over­­seeing a £280,000 development project, and Rural Dean. Before his ordination, he served with USPG in south-west Tanganyika.

 

BOWLER. The Revd David Bowler, Vicar of Delaval (Newcastle): 1 September.

BURKILL. The Revd Dr Mark Burkill, Vicar of Christ Church, Leyton (Chelmsford): 30 September.

FODEN. The Revd Janice Foden, Priest-in-Charge of Barnby Dun, Kirk Sandall and Edenthorpe, remaining Oversight Minister and Rector of Armthorpe (Sheffield).

LEGH. The Revd Jane Legh, Interim Priest-in-Charge of Boylestone, Church Broughton, Dalbury, Longford, Long Lane, Radbourne, Sutton on the Hill and Trusley: 31 July, remaining NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of the South Dales Benefice (Derby).

MOORHEAD. The Revd Michael Moorhead, Vicar of Harlesden, and Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (London): 3 October.

OVERTON. The Revd John Overton, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) in the Buxton with Burbage and King Sterndale Team Ministry (Derby): 2 August.

PLUMMER. The Revd Angela Plummer, Priest-in-Charge of Kenton (Newcastle).
