Plymouth retirement

THE Suffragan Bishop of Plymouth, in Exeter diocese, since 2015, the Rt Revd Nicholas McKinnel, is to retire in August 2022. He will be 68. The Bishop grew up in Devon, studied law, and worked for a development agency before ordination in 1980. He served his title in London diocese and was Chaplain to the University of Liverpool, before moving to Exeter diocese in 1987. He was consecrated to be Suffragan Bishop of Crediton in 2012. He has been nominated as High Sheriff of Devon for 2023.

BURRELL. The Revd David Burrell, Rector of the Four Rivers Benefice (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich): 30 April.

COLLIER. The Revd John Collier, Rector of Mamhilad with Monkswood and Glascoed Chapel and of Goetre with Llanover, and Chaplain of Lay Licensed Ministries (Monmouth).

COOPER. The Revd Nigel Cooper, Chaplain of Anglia Ruskin University, and Hon. Canon of Ely Cathedral (Ely): 1 February.

CUTLER. The Revd Nicholas Cutler, Rector of Rougham, Beyton with Hessett and Rushbrooke (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich): 31 January.

DOSE. The Revd Lara Dose, Priest-in-Charge of St Andrew’s and St Agnes’s, Romford, and Lead Chaplain of the Romford Town Centre Chaplaincy Team (Chelmsford).

GUEST. The Revd Michael Guest, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Killamarsh and Renishaw, with special responsibility for Renishaw (Derby): 25 January.
