HIGHLIGHT: Rental Health: The new nomads The first of a series of programmes across Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, and BBC News examining housing problems in the UK.

Sunday 1.30pm, Radio 4

 

TELEVISION: Sunday 11.30am (BBC1) Songs of Praise The Revd Kate Bottley visits Haddon Hall, in Derbyshire, with its 12th-century chapel, and talks to tour guides about how their faith influences their work. J. B. Gill visits a farm in the county run by a Christian charity that helps children, young people, and families in need.

Monday 8pm (BBC4) Digging for Britain One of the sites visited is the seventh-century hovel of the hermit Guthlac, who became one of Britain’s first saints (first shown on BBC2, 1/6).

Thursday 9pm (BBC4) Jesus Christ Superstar The film version of the rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

 

RADIO: Sunday 8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship Choral matins from the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great, London, on Passion Sunday. The Bishop of London, the Rt Revd Sarah Mullally, officiates and preaches.

10.30am (World Service) Heart and Soul A French basketball player, Salimata Sylla, was told she could not wear the hijab while playing, which she had done for more than ten years.

3pm (R3) Choral Evensong A repeat of this week’s service from the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great, London, to mark the 900th anniversary of the foundation of the church and St Bart’s Hospital.

Monday 9.30pm (R3) Compline From Holy Redeemer, Clerkenwell, in London, sung by the Gesualdo Six.

Wednesday 4pm (R3) Choral Evensong From St Michael and All Angels, Barnes, in south-west London, sung by the choir of Tiffin School, and recorded on 9 March.
