Bangor archdeacons

THE new Archdeacon of Bangor is the Revd David Parry, Leader of the Bro Celynnin Ministry Area, in Bangor diocese, since 2016. Archdeacon Parry was ordained priest in 1995, and served his title in Bristol diocese. He moved to Liverpool diocese in 1998 and, between then and 2016, served as an incumbent, area dean, Chaplain to the Deaf Community, and Diocesan Director of Ordinands. He was also appointed an Hon. Canon of Liverpool Cathedral twice.

The Revd Robert Townsend, Leader of the Bro Seiriol Ministry Area since 2019, and Canon Precentor of Bangor Cathedral since 2012, is now Archdeacon of Meirionnydd. He was ordained priest in 1995, served his title in Bangor, and then served in St Davids diocese from 2003 until 2006. Since his return to Bangor diocese, he has served as an incumbent, area dean, Diocesan Director of Education, and Diocesan Director of Communications.

CARTER. The Revd Jonathan Carter, Assistant Curate of King’s Cross Church (Bishop’s Mission Order) (London), now Associate Vicar.

DAVIES. The Revd Patrick Davies, Assistant Curate of Oxshott (Guildford), to be LSMP Associate Minister.

HILL. The Revd Jennifer Hill, formerly Priest-in-Charge of the 5Folds Group (Ely), to be Interim Team Leader.

ARCHER. The Revd Simon Archer, Vicar of All Saints’, Belvedere (Rochester), to be Priest-in-Charge of Arbory and Castletown (Sodor & Man).

BOULTER. The Revd Thomas Boulter, Assistant Curate in the St Mary’s Team Ministry, Southampton, to be also Assistant Curate of Lord’s Hill and Lord’s Wood, Southampton (Winchester).

CARTER. The Revd Philip Carter, NS Assistant Curate of Benfieldside and Castleside (Durham), to be NS Associate Priest of both.

DOWDY. The Revd Simon Dowdy, Minister-in-Charge of Grace Church, Dulwich (Bishop’s Mission Order) (Southwark), to be Vicar of St Bartholomew’s, Bath (Bath & Wells).

DOWNHAM. The Revd Simon Downham, Priest-in-Charge of St Mary’s, North End, Fulham, now NS Assistant Curate of Turnham Green (London).

FARODOYE. The Revd Lotwina Farodoye, Assistant Curate in the Oxted Team Ministry, to be Vicar of Christ Church, West Wimbledon (Southwark).

FOSS. The Revd Esther Foss, Vicar of St Andrew’s, Coulsdon, Mothers’ Union Chaplain, and Croydon Area Women’s Ministry Adviser, now also Diocesan Dean of Women’s Ministry (Southwark).

GORDON. The Revd Alexander Gordon, Priest-in-Charge of St Mary with St Edward and St Luke, Leyton, now Vicar, and Priest-in-Charge of All Saints’, Leyton, remaining Vicar of All Saints’, West Ham (Chelmsford), Rector of Hackney, and Vicar of St Leonard with St Michael, Shoreditch (London).

GREENWOOD. The Revd Peter Greenwood, Rector of Gillingham Milton-on-Stour and Silton (Salisbury), to be Team Rector in the Ingleborough Team Ministry (Leeds).

HUDSON. The Revd Daniel Hudson, formerly Assistant Curate in the Great Aycliffe Team Ministry, to be NS Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Wheatley Hill, Thornley and Wingate with Hutton Henry (Durham).

HUXLEY-JONES. The Revd Craig Huxley-Jones, Senior Chaplain of Christ’s Hospital (Chichester), to be Canon Precentor and Director of Congregational Development of Gloucester Cathedral (Gloucester).
