New archdeacons

THE next Archdeacon of Car­lisle, in that diocese, is to be the Revd Jonathan Brewster, Vicar of Christ Church with St John and St Saviour, Highbury, in London diocese, since 2003, and Area Dean of Islington there since 2014.

The next Archdeacon of Taun­ton, in Bath & Wells dio­cese, is to be the Revd Simon Hill, Director of Clergy Dev­elopment in that diocese since 2010, and Prebendary of Wells Cathedral since 2014. Before his present appoint­ments, he held posts in Ripon & Leeds, Oxford, and Bath & Wells dio­ceses.

AYRES. The Revd Dean Ayres, Chaplain of West London Uni­versity, to be Assistant Curate (Assoc­iate Rector) of St Mary’s, Acton (London).
